Pre-K Program

Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8am - 2pm 
*Child must be 4 years old by September 1st*

Our Pre-Kindergarten program prepares students for Kindergarten by fostering independence, early academics, social-emotional development, and a love of learning.

In our Pre-Kindergarten classroom, students:

 - participate in hands-on learning stations

 - engage in structured and free-choice play

 - build independence

 - practice social skills

 - develop confidence

 - strengthen gross motor skills


Activities include:

 - early reading and writing experiences

 - foundational math skills

 - science and discovery projects

 - art, music, and movement

 - outdoor play twice a day

 - quiet time after lunch

Pre-Kindergarten specials:

 - weekly visit to the HFCS library

 - weekly Spanish class

 - weekly buddy activity with the 6th graders
 
 - twice-weekly PE class 

 - twice-weekly Music class



Pre-Kindergarten students also participate in many exciting school-wide events:

 - Jog-a-thon
 
- Halloween Carnival

 - Grandparents/Special Friends Day & Tea

 - International Fair
