Holy Family Catholic School is a community of learners: students, staff, parents and parish, engaged in the life-long process of learning. Our commitment, rooted in the Gospel values, is to promote creativity and excellence in all areas of spiritual, academic and personal growth.
Strong Catholic Identity
Dedicated to teaching the principles of the Catholic faith to help students grow in faith, spirituality, service, and character.
Throughout their years, students study Scripture, Church History, Sacraments, Ethics, and Social Justice.
Students participate in weekly all-school Mass.
Students are supported in living their faith through respect for self, others, and serving the community.
Challenging Academics
Students are assisted in reaching their academic potential and complete an independent Capstone Project in 8th Grade.
Our coursework includes: Science, Mathematics, Literacy, Social Studies, Spanish, Health, Art, Music, PE, and Religious Studies.
Holy Family welcomes students of diverse academic backgrounds and has a Special Education program to provide assistance to students who need support in reaching their academic and behavioral goals.
Upon promotion, students are self-confident, moral decision makers and prepared for academic success in high school.
Welcoming Community
We welcome and celebrate social and economic diversity of our students.
About 20% of our students are minorities.
We provide financial assistance for those who need it. About 1/3 of our students receive some sort of financial aid.
While many of our students are Catholic, the beliefs and traditions of all students are respected and welcomed.
Our student body comes from many different local neighborhoods, including Eastmoreland, Happy Valley, Damascus, Gresham and Milwaukie.
Values
Children are our Most Important Resource.
We support parents as the primary educators.
We are committed to moral growth, self-worth, and individual dignity based on Gospel values.
Successful students are leaders and stewards in their community.
We believe that life-long skills, self-confidence, curiosity and competency are critical to student growth.
Vision
We are a faith community of students, staff, parents and parishioners, devoted to the spiritual and academic education of our children.
