Student growth and relationship building are at the heart of the middle school experience at Holy Family Catholic School. Our program is designed to be responsive to the academic needs and personal development of our students. During middle school, HFCS students learn persistence, autonomy, organizational skills, grit, self-advocacy, time management, inquisitive thinking, and how to foster meaningful relationships with peers and trusted adults. Our students’ schedules are a combination of core classes and specials. Math and English Language Arts are five days a week. Religion, Social Studies, and Science are taught four days a week. Spanish and PE are three days a week. Students attend Mass, Library, Art, and Health class once a week. Students also take an elective class each trimester. Topics vary by trimester based on student interest and faculty specialities. Students who have been absent and/or want more academic support have the opportunity to attend at lunch and after school study halls, and all staff are also available by appointment.
