I am a local girl who was born and raised in Portland, and am now raising four children here as well. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific College, and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I believe that children are their own individual person. As a teacher, my job is to teach children, care for them, and help them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Demonstrate paragraph writing skills, with understanding of a complete sentence, subject and verbs in agreement and correct past, present and future verb tenses.
Apply phonetic skills and rules of spelling in daily writing and write legibly in cursive and manuscript.
Identify and use declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory sentences as well as correct end punctuation.
Create a single paragraph with a topic sentence, simple supporting facts and details, and a concluding sentence.
