8th Grade CYO Scholarship Information CYO Athletics strives to provide young people an opportunity to experience spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional growth through participation in a variety of sports. When done with effective leadership, it is a learning experience that allows young people to build character and acquire information about themselves and others. Just as athletic directors, commissioners, coaches, and parents serve as role models for our children, so too, do our children serve as witnesses to others. To recognize student athletes who consistently demonstrate the Catholic values of spirituality, dignity, inclusiveness, and service, Holy Family CYO will award one female and one male student-athlete in 8th grade with the 'Athlete of Character' award.
